Catch the Elevator

We can all stand to improve our line of jive. Lenny Zeltser of SAVVIS Inc. suggests that you consider making your point by using an "elevator pitch"— a persuasive polemic that is suitable for verbal delivery in the time that you would spend with someone in an elevator (about 60 seconds). For example, suppose you're concerned because sales staffers are allowing office visitors to plug into your company's LAN. You can craft an elevator pitch to convince management to pay attention and support the IT department. Check out Zeltser's intriguing article at The SANS Institute's Internet Storm Center for links, sample pitches and advanced elevator techniques. Going up?
