CNet Hacked (Perhaps) at Black Hat
Wednesday, September 3, 2008
According to a long and interesting story by Robert Vamosi, several journalists were hacked at the recent Black Hat Security Conference in Las Vegas. Allegedly, Mauro Israel, a reporter for Global Security Magazine, used a USB device on his laptop to route all the signals going through the conference LAN to his computer, and then used a program called Cain to view the packet information. Unless you're absolutely confident that your network is secure from this sort of attack, take a look at the story in CNet News.
