Why is there so much spam, Daddy? The depressing answer is that enough people are actually purchasing products offered in spam emails to make it a worthwhile and profitable business for spammers. In fact, according to new research by the Marshal security company, some 29 percent of Internet users have purchased goods from spam emails at one time or another. The most commonly purchased items (surprise!) include sexual enhancement pills, software, adult material, watches, jewelry and clothing. Read more at the Marshal News Room.
